Randomly lost my Movies library...

Emby Server: 4.8.11.0

Running via a docker container

After a long time of not really having any issues, I noticed just now that my Movies library is empty.  It's pointing to the same place it always has, there are files in there, all my other libraries in the same "Media" path are fine.

Attached a log which is simply me restarting the Emby server and attempting to scan the Movies library.

Any ideas?

Hi there, what do you see in the folders tab?

Hi @Lukeit also said "No items found"

I tried adding the movie library again pointing to the same path and it seemed like everything loaded in... albeit with two Movie libraries.

I tried deleting one of them and it didn't delete it, but rather made both of them similarly unusable.  So I restarted and deleted both Movies libraries and I'm just adding the library again by scratch.  Not a huge deal, but I'm still not sure what happened in the first place.

Hi, I'm not sure either, but it sounds like you may have used the same folder path in more than one library. In the 4.8 server that can sometimes cause issues such as this, although this has been improved a bit as part of the upcoming 4.9 server release.

I added the second Movie library only as a test after the first Movie library seemed to lose its contents.  It's almost like the first/original Movie library somehow lost access or connection to the folder path it was looking at, and I basically needed to make a new library to resolve it. 🤷‍♂️

Not sure how that happens but can probably chalk it up to something weird.  Thankfully it was a library I don't use as often and watch status isn't too important.  Hopefully 4.9's adjustments help.
