Emby is crashing every time I go to my Playlist. After a click on my Playlist, it loads for like 3 seconds then crashes and kicks me back to the Rolu home screen.

Hi, is this only happening with one playlist or any playlist?

Hi.  Apologies.  This should be fixed with the app release set to go out tomorrow evening.

I also went down this rabbit hole thinking it was my emby server and spent my night trying to update from the beta .43 i was on till the latest. Ran into issues being that its a plug in install. I am running Truenas Core latest but fear i might need to see how one goes from Freebsd to Linux ....

I reinstalled the app yesterday I'm still having the same problem

I'm having a similar issue, whenever I delete a video after watching it, I get dumped back to the Roku home screen.

This has just started in the last couple of days.  I have not updated the emby server in that time period or made any other changes.

My issue started 3 days ago on both my roku devices

They've supposed to have issued a new updated emby app on Tuesday well I reinstalled the app on Thursday and it still kicks me back to roku home screen

Hi, what version number do you have now?

I am using Emby on Roku and am trying to follow the directions for sending a debug log as outlined here:

The directions state - You enter the settings page and turn on the "Debug Options".  Now there will be a new tile on your home page settings row (or menu option on the user menu at the top) labelled "Send Log".

After turning on Debug, I never see a new tile or menu entry for sending the log.  Are the directions still correct?

Also, the problem seems to be getting worse.  A few days ago it was just periodically when deleting a show, now it is happening every time and even times when I just stop the show but before I hit the delete button.

I have even gone as far as to remove the Emby app from Roku and reinstall it...did not make a difference.

What is going on here, it is almost to the point of being unusable.

Other applications on the Roku are working just fine.

I tried to delete my previous post because I was able to get the Send Logs to work, but the system would not let me.

So some of the info below is repeated from that post.

I have sent a log from my Roku Ultra, the time is 9:31pm EST.

The Emby user is cmh

I had just finished watching a video and hit the Delete button.

It went back to the Roku home screen.  When I went back into Emby, the video had not been deleted.

After going back in, I was able to delete it.

This seems to be the pattern.

Hi, we are looking into this. Thanks for reporting.

As a follow-up, I have multiple Roku Ultras and Emby crashes on all of them, so it is not isolated to just a single Roku.

Has there been any progress?  It seems some other people are starting to report this as well (in other threads).

I have being experiencing the Roku app crashing as well.  This is happening only when I delete an TV Episode or movie through the app.  Started around the same time as the others.

I'm seeing this also now, mine crashes whenever an episode/file ends.  I'm wondering if it's actually being caused by the most recent update to Emby Server.

I don't think it is, I had not updated my Emby server for a couple versions and started experiencing this problem last week.

I decided to update Emby server over the weekend to the latest version in hopes that it would fix it...it did not, same behavior.

I'm thinking either they pushed out an update to the Roku app or perhaps Roku did some kind of update that broke things.

Hi.  A new update to the Roku app that should address this should release tonight.

Thanks.

...just curious what the problem was that you found in the Roku App.

So far the update seems to have fixed the issue, no crashes on deletions since upgrading to build 48.

Agreed.  I updated this morning and tested it thoroughly.  Good job getting this pushed out quick guys!!

I would still like a summary of what the issue was just to satisfy curiosity.
