nodiaque 62 Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 Hello, I have a little problem I saw happening more then once and I think I finally got the log to help for it. When I'm playing a video that require transcoding (let's say for subtitle using PGSUB for instance that does burnin), sometime, the playback will stop as if I reached the end of the file and start playing the next episode (auto play next episode enable). In the interface, the media is said to have been played completely but it didn't. I can start back the playback and skip to where I was and finish without a problem. On the server page, I can see the file is 100% ready and transcoded. It seems to happen more often when I'm playing something that transcode and that I pause it for a certain amount of time and then come back. Thank you ffmpeg-transcode-66233447-688f-4583-bf55-044087f24d4d_1.txt embyserver.txt
nodiaque 62 Posted July 25, 2025 Author Posted July 25, 2025 Just had it happen again where transcoding was applied for subtitles burnin. Didn't pause of anything, it stop at about 1:45min of the end
nodiaque 62 Posted August 23, 2025 Author Posted August 23, 2025 Got hit again today by that. Was while watching a video with opus audio that was transcode since not supported. In the end, I just converted all my video with opus to ac3 to fix it. But still annoying. 1
nodiaque 62 Posted August 23, 2025 Author Posted August 23, 2025 Well, happened again, this time was doing subtitle burnin, everything else was direct play. I guess there's something wrong with transcoding.

nodiaque 62 Posted September 3, 2025 Author Posted September 3, 2025 Here's a new one. It stopped I think 30 sec before the end. I'm unsure which log is the right one though. I think the small one since I had resume to watch the 4 min remaining (after skipping the end credit). embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-55aeaf53-1f29-427d-b941-85f36d7fec4c_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-58b081a4-c5b6-4118-babc-a5499a55d109_1.txt
nodiaque 62 Posted October 17, 2025 Author Posted October 17, 2025 (edited) I had the samething happened today but while watching on Microsoft Edge on Windows. It seems worst when I paused the video and restart. I'm unsure if it does it only when I pause or skip part of the video (like intro). Weird thing is on the server side, I see all the stream is already converted and ready Edited October 17, 2025 by nodiaque
nodiaque 62 Posted October 23, 2025 Author Posted October 23, 2025 I had the same problem on my lg TV, it's in fact where I saw it first. I have yet to try it on android since I rarely have transcoding on Android. I don't have chrome, I would have to install it but I don't think it's browser problem since lg TV has the same problem
Luke 42077 Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 Hi, are you still having an issue with this?
nodiaque 62 Posted October 30, 2025 Author Posted October 30, 2025 was there an update since october 22? I haven't played anything that required transcode since (or if I see transcode is needed, I jump on jellyfin instead).
Luke 42077 Posted November 14, 2025 Posted November 14, 2025 Have you updated to Emby Server 4.9.1.90? Has that helped?
