WDPR4100 12 Posted July 21, 2025 Posted July 21, 2025 Hello, Thank you for all the great work on the platform. I’d like to suggest a small improvement regarding the Mangas folder, which is currently set to French in order to fetch metadata like titles, summaries, and artwork. Would it be possible to add an option or button to force audio playback in Japanese, even when the folder’s preferred language is French? This would allow users to keep metadata in French while watching content in Japanese with French subtitles (VOSTFR), which is a common use case for anime fans. Thanks in advance for considering this request! 1
Luke 42077 Posted July 21, 2025 Posted July 21, 2025 hi, once you play it once and switch to japanese, it will remember, right?

Not always — sometimes I have to manually switch it back to Japanese, even if I’ve already played it once. Same thing happens with TV series. 1
brothom 177 Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 +1 for this post. I don't want to be "that guy", but Plex has the option to set the default audio for an entire show. So for example for a huge show like One Piece you can just change the default audio to Japanese and all viewers are defaulted to that audio unless they specify something else. Setting default audio for a show, series, collection or even an entire library would be a pretty good quality of life feature. Personally I prefer to watch all my media in its original audio. Being able to say "original audio" would also be cool. I know themoviedb has an "original language" field: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/60572
