I tried to add content to an existing library. I added a folder with the content and it does not add even after new scan.  I created a new library and set it to this location and it works perfectly.  I would prefer not to have it in a separate library.  What am I missing?

We can't really help you without knowing more about what folders and content we're talking about.

Can you provide an example of your files/folder that works (separate library) and an example that doesnt work?

Pretty straightforward media files that have been working for months. I tried to add media to the same folder which I have done many times without issue. I created a new library and moved everything into it including the new media and it works fine thank you.

Which folder did you move what files into from where? Can you show us what doesn't work and works?

For example:

Doesnt work
X:/Movies/New movies/Cool Movie (2001)/Cool movie (2001).mkv

Works
Y:/Movies/Cool movie (2001).mkv

Y:/Movies/Coole Movie (2001)/Cool movie (2001).mkv

Where you can just write out / copy the paths of your files and folders that don't work and do work, so we can recreate your scenario.
