gregoryacole 2 Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 Have been using Emby with this setup for several years and usually don't have any problems, but watching channel 512 today and kept having freezing playback issues that wouldn't continue. User was gregoryacole and I also sent logs from the Android TV app. Time was approximately 1335 EST. Logs attached. Thanks! gregoryacole 2 Posted July 20, 2025 Author Posted July 20, 2025 After looking around a little, I found the transcode directory was huge and filling the entire free space of the drive. I deleted the transcode files and will see how it goes now. Anything in the logs that confirms this?
ebr 16169 Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 I don't know that I can confirm it but most of your logs appear truncated. Did the problem go away when you cleared out the folder?
gregoryacole 2 Posted July 21, 2025 Author Posted July 21, 2025 Yes, everything worked as normal once the transcodes were deleted. I restarted the computer and the directory didn't clean itself out, but there is also plenty of disk space right now. Anything I can check for the transcodes not deleting when stopped?

Hi @gregoryacolecan you please attach the main emby server log from when this happened? Thanks !
gregoryacole 2 Posted July 26, 2025 Author Posted July 26, 2025 Thanks Luke for checking back. It seems to have resolved after deleting the transcode files. The emby log didn't get generated at the time because the disk didn't have space for it. Things have been good for the past week again, so unless it starts to fill up with temp transcodes again, I think I'm back to running smoothly again. Thanks! Greg 1
