stehohrhase 1 Posted July 19, 2025 Posted July 19, 2025 When playing mp4 in LG App (1.0.47), the audio langage is wrong. That means: Select German -> Audio is english Select English - > Audio is german The mp4-File is ok. Emby for ios and android plays correct. SamES 1056 Posted July 19, 2025 Posted July 19, 2025 (edited) Hi, what model TV (Model number)? Edited July 19, 2025 by SamES
SamES 1056 Posted July 19, 2025 Posted July 19, 2025 Did this work fine with the previous app version?
SamES 1056 Posted July 19, 2025 Posted July 19, 2025 Can you please also check that the TV has the latest firmware version? Thanks
stehohrhase 1 Posted July 19, 2025 Author Posted July 19, 2025 Yes - webOS 4.4.3-22 is latest version. I am new at Emby (came from plex) - i don't know, if previos version work. But when i use the Jellyfin APP v1.2.2, i see the emby Web 4.8.11.0 and Audio works like expected. When i use the Emby APP v1.0.47, the i see Emby for LG 1.0.47 with the problem. As workoround, i use Jellyfin in the moment.
SamES 1056 Posted July 19, 2025 Posted July 19, 2025 Thanks and I presume this is DirectPlay. Can you please also confirm that you have this same problem regardless of whether your select the audio track before playback and also during playback. We've seen this issue previously, and it's caused when the audio track marked as 'Default' is not the first audio track, which I can see in your example (Audio track 2 is the default). You can check if you have some examples with multiple Audio tracks but track 1 marked as the default - these examples should work correctly, but it would be great if you can confirm. The problem is that LG automatically swaps the audio tracks so that the 'default' track becomes the first track. We have resolved this by also swapping our track order to match, so I'm surprised that you are seeing this issue. I think all the previous examples where I have seen this were mkv files, so I'm wondering if MP4 files have a different issue. 1
stehohrhase 1 Posted July 19, 2025 Author Posted July 19, 2025 Yes - direct play. Yes - when i select the track before playback, is also wrong. For example, i select German before playback, it shows me during playback German - but is it english. Then i marked the first audio track as default - then the plaback is corrrect ! Is it possible to fix this ? Luke 42077 Posted July 19, 2025 Posted July 19, 2025 Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks!

I need to see if I can replicate this issue (but I don't have a TV the same as yours), then I need to try and confirm if it is only an mkv issue, or if it affects other formats. Can you find a similar mkv file with multiple audio tracks, try setting the second track to the default track, then see if you can reproduce this issue using an mkv format. That would be really helpful. Thanks.
stehohrhase 1 Posted July 20, 2025 Author Posted July 20, 2025 i have testet with mkv files. They have not that issue. Audio is always correct. No different witch audiotrack is default. Attached is the log file from an mp4 playbak with this issue. embyserver.txt
SamES 1056 Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 Perfect, that sounds like our correction is working but only needs to be applied for mkv files. Thanks.

Alien0 1 Posted November 14, 2025 Posted November 14, 2025 Just found this thread - though something was wrong with my setup but I see it's an app issue. Hopefully there will be a fix soon.

Hi, unfortunately LG has a tendency to fail app submissions for really silly or meaningless reasons. So this is what happened and we had to submit again and now we are waiting for the app review process again. Thanks. 1
Alien0 1 Posted December 26, 2025 Posted December 26, 2025 Finally the update came today on my LG - audio issues seem to be fixed 1
