Weird UI behavior rarely seen

This is just a report and, since it involves the older app, maybe even irrelevant to the future but here goes anyway:

I have been having a problem in that every two or three days I will be playing a show from the legacy Next Up row. On my shield.
What happens is that a show naturally finishes playing and Emby goes back to the regular display of the next up row. However it is a little slow to move the next show in that series to the first position. At that point I should, and usually do, wait for the second or two that it takes for the UI to reset itself but occasionally I get impatient and press the left arrow exactly once. That press should move the focus to the show immediately to the left but every once in a while it acts like I pressed and held the left arrow and scrolls all the way to the first item in next up.

I know I should be more patient and simply wait for the second or two that the UI takes to get caught up but it should not behave so bizarrely.
The screwup does not impact any operation after the weird scrolling and the weird behavior does not seem to hurt the functioning of anything at all.

I am running the beta server  Version 4.9.1.7 beta on a Windows computer but the server does not seem to be affected at all.
This happens on my Shield model 2571 ver 11. Emby app 2.1.26g

I do not really need this "fixed" because it is so rare but I thought to report it because it might be a clue into some underlying more serious problem.

Thanks.

When that happens, is the first show in the row the one you just watched (after you pressed left and ended up on the first item)?

No. It updates to the next episode in the series. That is, except for the rapid scroll back to the beginning the interface performs exactly as expected.

BTW: When I stop a show before the end and the focus jumps to the first show in the row it does not rapidly scroll to get there, It simply jumps to item one which is the partially played show.

The misbehavior is exactly like I pressed and held the left arrow.

When we re-sort the row after playback, the interface will animate the series tile to its new position - if the row is already visible.  Most of the time, the update probably happens before the row is visible so you never even see the animation.  But, if  you were watching something that was several positions away from the first item of the row and the timing was just right, I could imagine you moving left onto the the tile of the show you just watched right as it is being animated to the first position and your focus would travel with it - thus looking like you are scrolling all the way to the front.

That's my best guess anyway...

Probably a good guess but it is rather disconcerting to see. I can live with it and it is nothing but an irritant but I believe there is probably some way to prevent it. (The simplest preventive measure is probably me just being a bit less impatient) However I do not think it is worth spending much time on and this app is, probably, going away and we will all get dragged, kicking and screaming to the new app.

Thank you for at least considering it and explaining what is probably happening.

BTW: My whole system, player and server, seems a LOT more stable lately after I started using my Shield as my primary player. I still use my Roku in my bedroom but that is actually a small part of my usage.
