As the title says, I can no longer watch Trailers for any movies. No matter the movie or device I am accessing from, anytime I click on Trailer for a movie, it redirects to YouTube and then errors out. Is there any way to fix the YouTube "Confirm you are not a bot" error? All my Tvs are Android/Google TV. My Pc is windows and I dont actually see the Bot eeror on PC, the screen just blacks out and the closes out back to the Movie Selection.

Hi, what version of the Emby app do you have installed on the android tv?

Emby Version 2.1.23g. all versions of emby should be the most current version found on the devices.

Looks like you need to be signed in to Youtube as a member now in order to avoid the bot message.  This is apparently a recent change.  The TV, Mobil, computer should have a Youtube sign in account.  That may solve it.

Unfortunately, I'm already signed in to YouTube on all my devices, so that doesn’t seem to be the issue. It appears that YouTube is blocking the connection attempt from within Emby itself. Once the error message appears, there's no way to interact with it. The only option is to back out, as nothing on the error screen is selectable.

Are you talking about trailers via the plugin/trailers library or trailers with your movies?

I'm talking about the trailer button in the attached image. I don't think it's a plug in, just the built in trailer feature that links to YouTube. If there's a better way, I'm down for learning.

Just getting clarification as this should not be in Plugin Forum for item metadata trailers.  But sounds link it needs to be in an Android Section.  @GrimReaper

I apologize if it's in the wrong place. For added clarification, this is happening across multiple devices types. Android TV, Android phone, Windows PC. The YouTube trailers don't appear to work on any device type

That trailer button is working for me with Emby Web and Android TV.  My TV screen does not look like the above screenshot.

What are you calling Windows PC the web client or the desktop app from the store?

But will do some testing by have not noticed any issues.

But testing in 2.1.23g and 3.4.74 did not have any issues but were on a tablet and not a TV if it matters.

Emby Theater on Windows 11 as well as the Web Client.

Based on your testing, it looks like things are working fine for others, but every device on my system is still experiencing issues. As far as I can tell, nothing has changed on my end that should be affecting it. Is there a specific section in the settings where I can start troubleshooting?

Added another video example from my phone.

Hi.  What version of the server?

We may all be testing with the 4.9 beta.

I had no issue with ET 3.0.20, 2.1.23g, 3.4.74 and iOS 2.2.41 testing on 4.8.11.0 and 4.9.17.0

Could it be something in the url as I did not test on anything that is really new?

@iamjarbeardo you write nfo files with media?  If so can you post one or the trailer url shown in the nfo file.

Hi, please try refreshing the metadata on that movie and see if it helps. Thanks,

It is every movie. I tried refreshing metadata just to test and see,and it didn't have any affect.

Are you using a vpn?

It's something with my Internet I've come to find. Not sure why but with my WiFi enabled trailers don't work. When I toggle it off it allows trailers. When on I get the bot verification. I don't believe this is anything on the Emby side most likely.

Hi, this should be resolved in Emby for Android 3.5.15. If you can sideload to try it out, that would be very helpful. We'll get it out to the store as soon as we can. Thanks.

Hello,
Yes, it works fine on Android smartphones and tablets, as well as on the web, but there is still an error 15 on Android TV (2.1.23 g and server 4.9.1.90).

You need to update to AndroidTV 2.1.28g beta or switch and use the app Luke mentioned on your AndroidTV device.  Either should work.

I am on 2.128 beta. But almost all the movies. The trailer just plays. It’s just a green screen. You can hear the audio but it’s just a green video. Only some movies work.

Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
