I have been trying out Emby for a few years now, I really prefer it over plex. I want to switch to emby from Plex, but there are some things holding me back, mainly family preferences on ease of use to view.  example Playlists in plex you can add them to the home screen, and the layout looks like the picture below. Emby also allows you to add playlist to the home screen, but it adds it like a block. Maybe I just have not find out the setting that allows the media to be displayed separately.

Hi, your Plex screenshot is showing movies, not playlists, right?

As @Luke also observed, your first screenshot looks an awful lot like a slider with the Family/Kids tag or genre in stead of a specific collection / playlist.

With Plex you can (by default) only reorder your libraries and after that Plex decides (mostly at random) what exactly is shown. It doesn't show any specific playlist or collection, you'll need a plugin for that I think.

It looks like in your case, you would like to show the contents of a specific playlist or collection the same way as for example "Latest Movies" would be shown as right?

What is Family/Kids? Is that a playlist you created?

Yes that is correct, The playlist TEST on emby has 4 movies in it.  instead of is showing like a block, that you have to click on to view the content.  If there is a way to add the Playlist to the home screen and view each movie by separately.

Hey Luke, The screenshot is showing a playlist I created called Family.  I then added that playlist to the Home screen in Plex.

OK yes we plan to allow you to pin collections and playlists to the home screen in future updates. Thanks.
