leselal 0 Posted July 16, 2025 Posted July 16, 2025 Why did this situation occur? There are many TV series, but the homepage shows only 2, and there are duplicates, with only one file directory! Scanned out, but there are 2! The same goes for rescanning?
pwhodges 2012 Posted July 16, 2025 Posted July 16, 2025 This kind of thing is generally the result of file naming and folder structure that doesn't conform closely enough to Emby's preferences. Show use how your files are named and organised, and we can advise. https://emby.media/support/articles/Movie-Naming.html https://emby.media/support/articles/TV-Naming.html Paul
brothom 177 Posted July 16, 2025 Posted July 16, 2025 @leselalhaving two unique items display, but them sharing the same movie / series meta usually means Emby has found two media items that have been identified as the same item. You could check "Edit Metadata" for both items to see which path is found for both of those entries. As @pwhodgesalso stated, maybe this is because the names of the items are too similar or don't follow the naming conventions. For example having the following item: C:\Media\Movies\Naked Gun might cause Emby to match multiple items Naked Gun (1956) The Naked Gun (2025) Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult (1994) etc
