keduncan3 4 Posted July 15, 2025 Posted July 15, 2025 (edited) Having new issues with playback in Google Chrome. Every 15 to 20 seconds or so, it's like the page refreshes, goes black, playback is interrupted and then starts back. If the video is paused, it resumes playing automatically after the page "refreshes." This issue also presents in edge or Firefox but does not present on Roku, Android TV or the Android app from Play Store. This issue just started today. No changes or new updates to my Synology or Container management system. Edited July 15, 2025 by keduncan3 Added info
keduncan3 4 Posted July 29, 2025 Author Posted July 29, 2025 (edited) Sorry for the delay, I didn't get a notification of a reply. I don't believe so. Now experiencing the issue in Edge and Mozilla, but still not experiencing it on Android or on TV that is on the LAN. I've tried turning off all browser extensions to no avail. I noticed today that the skip intro button will sometimes pop up when it is "reloading" the playback. It's not reloading the whole page, but the playback pauses for a second, the playback screen goes black, then playback starts back up all within a second or two. Sometimes the skip intro button will appear when it does this refresh thing, for a brief second and sometimes it doesn't appear at all. It does not appear to matter how far into the playback I am. ffmpeg-transcode-01d73ccd-8a6f-470f-8732-8587ad78b79f_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-8d70998a-6138-4be9-b3eb-08b099fc6732_1.txt Edited July 29, 2025 by keduncan3 Attached two most recent FFMPEG
keduncan3 4 Posted August 1, 2025 Author Posted August 1, 2025 Not sure the reason, but the bitrate had something to do with it. When I change the quality/bitrate in Chrome and other browsers on a laptop, it fixes the issue. 1
