Scanning Logic?

What is Emby's scanning logic?  It does not seem to scan in shows in alphabetical order and can jump from a show starting with "D" to then scan a show in "L".  No article in front such as a, the, in, etc.  Just curious how it actually decides where to scan.

Hi, it’s based on the order they come out of the file system apis, which is usually not guaranteed to be in any specific order.

Any chance it would ever be able to scan by truly alphabetical?

It would be nice to be able to see where a folder is at specifically being scanned, yes. Percentage is nice but 1% could vary from 5 minutes to 2 hours so being able to look at logs and know where exactly in the alphabet would be a plus.  Also, it *could* help detect problems where specific files or titles are causing scanning issues.  And computers are smart enough to scan/organize folders from A-Z so why not let us scan that way?
