arooni 2 Posted July 11, 2025 Posted July 11, 2025 Here is my live tv => recordings section: here is my "Recordings" folder. why don't i see the content below above within live tv? why is it in its own section?
Luke 42077 Posted July 11, 2025 Posted July 11, 2025 HI, how have you configured your recording folders in live tv setup?
arooni 2 Posted July 11, 2025 Author Posted July 11, 2025 (edited) OK that fixed it ; had to go to advanced to set that up. this is getting pretty spiffy! Next question: is there a way to tell emby when i'm watching live tv and then decide I want to record the show i'm watching live, to record it to a DIFFERENT place than it would normally record to for scheduled recordings? why? well my hard drive on the mac mini is a samsung evo 950 ssd versus the 26TB seagate spinny drive that is hooked up with a usb cable. since my mac is a bit long in the tooth i thought that might help for the live rewind, muxing features etc, as well as for comskip to run on the live video versus the much slower seek / read time on the 26TB drive. ALSO, is there any way to use the handy fancy tags that your gracenote enabled guide allows for to filter UPCOMING content? i.e. just show me premiers, new episodes etc across all channels? PS: does anyone know the gracenote id for hbo 2 canada? thanks! Edited July 11, 2025 by arooni

Not currently but it has come up before, so I'm sure you will be able to eventually.

Have you explored the live tv programs tab?
arooni 2 Posted July 11, 2025 Author Posted July 11, 2025 (edited) OK glad to hear the live recording to a faster drive seems like an option that's coming up. do i get emailed about new features when there's a new server/app release or how can i learn about that versus asking in the forum The shows tab is nice, i just wish there was a bit more granularity, for instance i really like new comedy standup specials on hbo/showtime etc but there doesn't seem to be a good way of learning when new ones are getting released. right now my best idea is to go to hbo/etc on the weekends and see if i can see something that looks like a new release. this is kind of a weird content type, more akin to movies because its not a series because each comedy special is a separate one time release. would be nice to be able to see a different category for it, or ways to see upcoming specials. also.... anyway to edit the ORDER of the content libraries on the left side? i esee "live tv" movies recordings torrents tv shows; would like to reroder EDIT: another method is to take a channel and then see the lineup by clicking on the channel logo; this lets me see that hbo comedy for instance has some upcoming specials to record but once i click each one, hit record, then hit back, it kicks me out of *where* i was located in the history of that channel so i have to start over and find where I was in the this channel history. seems like the back button after hitting record should go back to where i was in the channel history so i could pick more specials to ask emby to record.
