Recording a series seems to work sometimes and sometime not

background: i deleted all my existing libraries and recreated them being careful not to have overlapping folders.

Use case:

record new episodes of jimmy kimmel live, set it up with new recordings.  looking below it looks like it should record tonight (thursday), but doesn't plan on doing that tomorrow.  

 

yet when we look in upcoming, it doesn't seem like emby is planning on recording either the thursday/friday showing, in fact, none of the jimmy kimmel live at all.  why not?

OK this upcoming section is just a listing of what's airing soon according to TVDB. It's not in any way connected to your dvr. To see your recording schedule, I would use the Live TV section.

Got it. It seems like the schedule tab under live TV is the best bet

 

Now can I set up a recording for say a show and then halfway through it rejoin it on one of my client devices and then be able to watch it from the beginning even if it's currently being recorded?
