is it possible to so? It's annoying to have to click for every new episode if Emby determines two files to be the same content? this often happens in recordings, but in other aspects as well. I can see why some might like this, but there should be an option. Is there? If not, can one be implemented?

Hi, the upcoming 4.9 server release will have library options to disable grouping detection.
