Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks! Greetings! One of my Samsung TV clients have started experiencing this exact same thing. It was working fine before. --- Symptoms: 1. Using the Saumsung Emby App, I am able to login to Emby app and navigate content 2. Attempting to play anything results in: - "Playback Error. No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details" - "Media player error code: PLAYER_ERROR_CONNECTION_FAIL. player state: IDLE" 3. I tried removing the app and reinstalling it to no avail ---- Setup: Server: - Emby 4.8.11.0 - Ubuntu 24.04 - the server is behind an nginx reverse proxy with SSL cert from ZeroSSL Client: - Samsung QN85Q60CAFXZC - Up to date Included log at the exact time of the observed behaviour (apologies for not a complete log) samsuns_logs

Nathanael 4 Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 (edited) So they can scroll through your media, but they can't play a media file right? I had the same issue, evereything worked, but as soon as playback should start it just stopped. Client showed the same error as you have and on the server could see the stream start and immidiate stop again. HTTP connnection did work. In the end i found out that the TV player (it was an older Samsung TV) had issues with the Let's Encrypt https certificate. When i switched to ZerroSSL the problem went away. Maybe youre tv has an issue with ZerroSSL instead? Edited July 30, 2025 by Nathanael
