ErelyesNZ 3 Posted July 2, 2025 Posted July 2, 2025 I have two devices in the house with Emby for Kodi and one is not playing ball. Tried a local database reset, which didn't do anything (odd as that usually fixes issues). Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin and it said "Installation failed". I have then uninstalled Kodi and reinstalled (wiping settings and with a restart between), and tried again to install, still no do. I'm using the latest Kodi version. Install method is sideloading e.g. add file source http://kodi.emby.tv/, then install from there. I have tried both the Stable and Beta and both just say "Installation failed" in an info box up the top right of the screen. Any ideas???
ErelyesNZ 3 Posted July 2, 2025 Author Posted July 2, 2025 Forgot to mention - Win11. Also tried installing the dependencies from the little dropdown menu but that didn't change anything.
quickmic 1703 Posted July 3, 2025 Posted July 3, 2025 (edited) Did you install via Emby's Kodi repository or directly via public testing zip files? I could imagine it's still a dependency issue. Maybe you can upload a Kodi.log for review? Edited July 3, 2025 by quickmic
