nodiaque 62 Posted July 2, 2025 Posted July 2, 2025 Hello, I just updated to 1.0.47 and now, the second the screensaver start (which happen after a minute when noting is running or when on pause), it send me back to the pin code screen and then back to the main menu. Before, it was just putting me back where I was. Is there a way to not have to re-input the pin code just for the screensaver? Thank you
Luke 42077 Posted July 2, 2025 Posted July 2, 2025 Hi, are you sure about that time frame? It's actually 10 minutes.
nodiaque 62 Posted July 2, 2025 Author Posted July 2, 2025 I honestly just notice the screensaver was running so I though it was when the screensaver started (which can be configured). Would be nice to have a setting like the screensaver to set a delay or disable that feature. I often pause and resume and right now, having to re-enter the code then go back to what I was watching, navigate then started, it's tedious 1
nodiaque 62 Posted August 18, 2025 Author Posted August 18, 2025 Is it a possibility that an option to enable/disable that feature be added in next version? I honestly non stop need to put my pin back cause I'm getting phone call, have kids interupting, etc.

nodiaque 62 Posted August 23, 2025 Author Posted August 23, 2025 (edited) It won't prevent me from being sent back to the login screen after 10 minutrs no? I used the pin feature a lot cause I don't save my creds. I loved when I could simply put my pins in the password field instead (still don't understand why that changed). Also, I just found out something. I was sent to the pin screen. I hit back which sent me back to the login screen with all my users. I select my users and it login without asking either password or pin, making the pin screen useless. I don't know if people asked for the pin screen after 10 minutes or not, but it should been a feature that can be enabled or disabled. Any new feature added should be like that. You will always have users that want the feature and other that doesn't want it. Everyone have different use case. One of the reason why I like pin code signing is because with my tv remote, I can enter the code with the remote without anyone knowing what I entered. With a password? I must use the on-screen keyboard which mean everyone see me typing my password and thus knows it. And for me the worst is that it doesn't get you back on your payback, it stop the playback. So you have to go back to your video. If it was by any bad chance in the last 5 minutes or % you set in settings, though luck now it's watched and you can't resume, you have to scroll. And for the video that have problem with subtitles when scrolling (specially when transcoding for stuff like opus audio not supported), you can't skip because the subtitles get out of sync regardless of type. If it was just entering my pin and back at the watch screen exactly where I left without reseting the play state, would be less anoying. But in the end, I just don't need that feature at all, I prefer like it was before, just a screensaver holding my playback whet it is until I hit play again. Edited August 23, 2025 by nodiaque
Luke 42077 Posted August 25, 2025 Posted August 25, 2025 Quote It won't prevent me from being sent back to the login screen after 10 minutrs no? Correct, but at least you won't have to enter the pin again. But yes, more options to control this are certainly possible.
nodiaque 62 Posted August 25, 2025 Author Posted August 25, 2025 Well while the pin is annoying, being kicked out of my playback is worst. Specially when there's transcoding since there's an issue with transcoding where skipping make the subtitles unsync.
Luke 42077 Posted September 6, 2025 Posted September 6, 2025 Are there multiple users signed in on the device?
nodiaque 62 Posted September 6, 2025 Author Posted September 6, 2025 (edited) No. But I found a workaround. If I just press back, I get pushed to the user selection, and back again I get back to where I was (just not playing but directly at the video I was playing). So in short, it's useless since I bypass all authentication. This is a savior for me right now so don't fix it until I can disable this feature please Edited September 6, 2025 by nodiaque
