Did Google TV change something?

I have Hisense 85A7K Google TV. Until today I was able to play music in Emby and simultaneously play photos through Fotoo photos app on the TV. As of this morning when I start music on Emby and then switch to Fotoo the music plays for roughly 2 mins then stops. The photos continue to play but Emby is stopped. Any hints as to whether Google changed anything with the OS or not to no longer allow this capability? Has anyone on the Emby dev side seen this? And if so, can anything be done to re-establish it? Are there any settings in the TV that can be changed or manipulated to fix it? Anybody else with experience please share. Thx

Sorry it took a while. Client version is Android 3.4.74. However I discovered this evening that it only behaves this way on one of the two TVs. The 85A7K doesn't allow the simultaneous play. The 75A76K does allow simultaneous play. So it must be a Hisense issue. Weird because both TVs allowed the capability less than a month ago. Both are on same OS and firmware number. So don't know what could have changed.
