After install Emby on Synology 7.2.2 72806 update 3 URL gives " forbidden"

I've  installed  Emby  (4.8.11.0) on Synology (7.2.2 72806 update 3), and I try to open the URL http://192.168.0.25:8096/web/index.html, a page opens and shows " forbidden" (in both Firefox and Chrome).

So, now I'm stucked because the wizzard is not starting.

I'm not using a VPN or so, I'm just in my private network. I've had Emby running a few years ago but had a synology system crash. Had to reinstall synology and now after quit a while, I try to install Emby again. But no luck so far.

Any ideas?

Hi, can you please show a screenshot?

 Was this a new install of Emby? Did you just do the server startup wizard?

Hi,

thanks for the quick response.

I installed it new. but it might be that there was an old install already present from before the system crash. The OS was reinstalled at a certain point. Perhaps that's playing tricks?

OK I would suggest shutting down the server and then deleting the server data folder:

Emby Server Data Folder

When you start back up, it should be a fresh start at that point. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

OK. I'll do that later this week. I let you know for sure 😀

Schade.

I'm disappointed that with so much good programming work, this error can happen.

Everything worked great until I made a mistake. Now I guess I have to switch back to Plex.
What a pity.

Technically you do not have to do that assume you are capable of navigating to the system.xml and correcting a config that you applied.  But some platforms are not as easy as others.  On can break other systems just as easy.

Emby.

Tell me what changes need to be made to the system.xml for Emby to start.

Really depends on what you applied on the Networks menu.

Possibly

  <LocalNetworkSubnets />
  <LocalNetworkAddresses />

На самом деле все зависит от того, что вы выбрали в меню «Сети».

Возможно,

<Подсети локальной сети />
<Адреса локальной сети />

Are you still having problems connecting to the Emby Server on the DS118 NAS ?

The "General" tab view of the Network screenshot you attached just shows that the NAS is on the local LAN subnet of 192.168.0.xx

The "Network Interface" tab will show the IP Address

Assuming you have the Emby Server app running, what happens when you go to the emby server url in a browser

http://192.168.0.xxx:8096

replace the xxx with the octet from the NAS IP address

can you get a screenshot of that
