Dynamic rotating artwork in “My Media” section not updating after library refresh

Hi,

I’ve been using Emby on a TerraMaster NAS (TOS 6, 64-bit) with a large media library (500+ movies, 30+ series). In a previous Emby setup (on another server), the “My Media” section on the home screen would automatically show a dynamic collage or rotating artwork — displaying different poster thumbnails over time.

However, in my current setup, the “My Media” thumbnails never change. It still shows only the posters from the very first 2 movies and 3 series I added, even though the library has since been updated and rescanned multiple times.

Here’s what I’ve already tried:

  • Full library rescan

  • Refreshing metadata (without saving it in media folders)

  • Clearing browser cache

  • Verifying that all media is correctly detected

  • Reinstalling Emby with a clean version

  • Enabling all options like "Save artwork in media folders", "Download images in advance", etc.

  • Checking scheduled tasks (but nothing seems related to poster rotation or collage generation)

Is there a setting I’m missing, or is the dynamic collage/poster rotation feature no longer available in newer Emby versions?

I would prefer a native Emby solution (without Docker or third-party scripts) if possible, since this worked automatically before.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I’m using Emby Server version 4.9.1.3 on a TerraMaster NAS (TOS 6, 64-bit) with a large media library (500+ movies, 31 series). In a previous Emby setup (on another server), the “My Media” section on the home screen used to automatically show a dynamic collage or rotating artwork — displaying different poster thumbnails over time.

After deleting old artwork and performing a full rescan of my current library, I now have 4 poster thumbnails showing for movies and 4 for series in the “My Media” section, but these thumbnails never change or rotate.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Full library rescan

  • Refreshing metadata (without saving images in media folders)

  • Clearing browser cache

  • Verifying all media is correctly detected

  • Reinstalling Emby with a clean version

  • Enabling options like “Save artwork in media folders” and “Download images in advance”

  • Checking scheduled tasks (none seem related to poster rotation or collage generation)

Is there a setting I’m missing, or is the dynamic collage/poster rotation feature no longer available in newer Emby versions?

I’d prefer a native Emby solution (no Docker or third-party scripts), as this used to work automatically before.

Thanks in advance!
