Hello,

 

I too am experiencing this issue with a new remote I got (Unfolded Circle Remote 3) Once the remote goes to sleep emby will stop playback and display "No Playable Items" at the bottom of the screen. Any options to try and troubleshoot this and prevent it?

Hello, I used the "Send Log" from the android tv app somewhere between 9:50 and 10:00pm eastern time. I was playing a show and let the remote go to sleep.

What is the name of the server you were attached to?

Sorry for the late reply I was out of town. 

 

Emby server name - WACKYDELIYEAH

I recreated the issue again today 6/29/2025 and outlined and included a more detailed description, resent logs from android tv and attached server log and a photo here. 

 

7:57pm eastern time -  started playing "grand designs" from TV Shows library
~put remote down and let it time out and go to sleep~
7:59:05pm remote went to sleep. Playback of show stopped abruptly. At the bottom middle of the screen a bubble displays "no playable items" (see photo attached)

I repeated the same thing with other apps like youtube and any similar issue does not happen. I only experience this when playing in Emby.

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

The non Android TV app does appear to not be affected by this. I will have to test more and make sure if does not cause any other problems. Thank you. Is one app supposed to replace the other at some point or are both existing alongside each other for the foreseeable future?
