Thanks for letting me know Emby haven't been able to resolve the issue. It beggars belief, especially given Emby stops working. I wonder how many users have had to ditch Emby?
LN13uLL 5 Posted December 23, 2025 Posted December 23, 2025 I downgraded back to Emby server 4.8.x on my Asustor and will never update again. I turned off auto update too. It’s currently is working 100% again on 4.8.x.
dhj49er 1 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Still no fix. It will soon be a year since this issue was first raised. It's extremely disappointing that Emby haven't fixed it. Even worse Emby don't know how to fix it and seem to have gone silent on the issue. Update Emby?

Have you tried downgrading back to 4.8.X and disabling auto update? I was able to successfully downgrade back and will never update again. I gave up on Emby in terms of updates as I don’t want go through downgrading again.

I'm on 4.3.3....and I have auto update disabled. I've never updated to 5.0, as I had read about the issue and decided to wait....that was over 7 months ago!!
