HELP!!!ADM 5.0 &EMBY 4.9.0.70 CAN'T OPEN SEVER Page!

FYI:I Have Tried emby sever in docker(asustor 6704T,adm5.0), Works fine.

I'm asking questions to try and learn more about the problem. We have several Asustor models in-house for testing but we don't have every single model, so therefore these questions are necessary.

Emby server not opening on ASUSTOR NAS  running ADM 5.0 has been present for a few months and I'm concerned that Emby hasn't been able to resolve the issue.

I will not update to ADM 5.0 until Emby say they have resolved the issue and confirmed by users.

What is the current status?

IF you manually installed did you open the ports in Settings, Manual Connect, EZ Router, port forwarding so your browser is allowed to see the server?

I have had Emby running since I upgraded from ADM 4.XXX to 5.XXX.  The only issue has been that something took ownership of the Emby-Server.pid during the update to 5.0.0.RJG2. 

Access to the OS is simple though and I just reset ownership of the file and all was fine.

Not really.

I don't know if changing ownership would work, in the event I update to ADM 5.0 and Emby stops working.

That's too big a risk for me to take

I will only update when Emby confirm the issue has been resolved.

Have you identified what's causing Emby to stop working after installing ADM 5.0

I'm disappointed that I haven't had a reply.

It looks like Emby don't know what  the issue is, otherwise  I would have received a reply.

So a fix looks a long way off, given this issue was first reported months ago and seemingly little progress has been made in identifying what's causing the issue.

OK so you’re not on adm 5 yet? We did make a fix a couple months back that seemed to resolve it for about half the devices.

Obviously not all, but we have purchased multiple new asustor devices for testing this issue and have not reproduced it since then. 
 

it does look like for those still impacted that there is something permissions related.

I am just giving up - I don't have the time and resources to continue to futz with this.
Emby used to be bulletproof.
Now Plex and JellyFin are reliable. Guess I wasted my $$ on a lifetime license... anyone need used license for something that doesn't work 😞

No.

Can you confirm that you have resolved the issue for all asustor devices on ADM 5.0?

If not, I plan to stay on ADM 4.3.3 until you do.
