Web Client and Dashboard crashing MB Server

Hi,

 

Since the latest beta release Version 3.0.5441.2, any access with the web clinet (Chrome or ie) is causing the MB server to crash. 

 

In particular, web client page and my preferences page.

 

Can anyone help please.

I reverted back to the last release, the problem is gone. I will send the logs as soon as I can.

 

It appears that it's crashing when attempting to list the Library shares. I'm running mediabrowser server on Win2012 R2.

Hi,

 

Today my server was updated to Version 3.0.5445.5... same problem.

 

I re-arranged the Library by re-adding the media folders with drive letters instead of "\\ServerName\ShareName";

 

then adding Path Substitution entires to access the files. Web Client worked without crashing the server.

 

It's just more work to add 15 Path Substitution entries.

I found the problem. The Folder Name for my Music share was "Music Artists". I recreated it as "Music" and all is well now.

The problem has returned. It's obvious that it is caused by my Music folder. I have removed the folder from the Library and problem has disappeared. 

 

The folder structure is as follows:

 

\\Server\Music\..

..\Artist name\..

..\Year - Album name\..

..\Artist name - track # - song name

 

I was wondering if the above can cause Mediabrowser server to crash when listing the folder in web client.

 

Any ideas or help is appreciated.

Wow you have just described the same problem I have been battling with for weeks... Just music only

 

\\Server\Music\

..\Artist name\

..\Album\

 

I have tried both unc paths and local paths.

re-installing server on both win7 and win 8.1 

2 separate folders with same music in (wmc was accessing one, MBS the other)

Adding only a dozen artists at first then building slowly

turning off meta data downloads

 

the pattern is that it is fine for a couple of hours then when opening the web client produces "processing error" then Server crash. I delete the library and its like flicking a switch - all okay again

 

Having not seen any reference to the problem i thought it was my end.
