Serwyn 1 Posted June 22, 2025 Posted June 22, 2025 With some files (all very large files), the player on my Apple TV behaves weirdly. It reads the video apparently normally, but does not show subtitles at all. Moreover, the UI becomes unresponsive, for example I can't go forward or back ward in time, and if I press "menu" and "play" again, it stays stuck on the loop-wait icon. Attached, the logs . The same files work seemlessly on other devices (Android and iOS apps, as well as with the web client). I haven't been able to narrow down further the cause of the problem. ffmpeg-directstream-6c952b77-14f4-40bb-99a2-d7afd8f9fb7d_1.txt embyserver.txt
Serwyn 1 Posted June 25, 2025 Author Posted June 25, 2025 (edited) Thanks for the answer! Same result with transcoding activated. (I deactivated it because I thought maybe my NAS was not powerful enough to handle it, and that if it were a format issue the video would not play at all) Edited June 25, 2025 by Serwyn

Serwyn 1 Posted June 30, 2025 Author Posted June 30, 2025 Hi! Here it is, the same file first read on the web interface, then on apple TV. Thanks! embyserver.txt

Serwyn 1 Posted July 16, 2025 Author Posted July 16, 2025 Done! But it's not better, in fact it might be even less responsive. Attached, the logs of the day! Thanks ! embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-79e70cea-0742-4523-b717-346833f95a78_1.txt

Luke 42077 Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 HI, have you updated to Emby for Apple TV 2.0.1? Has that helped?
