Scanning a single column, the system does not make any response

I am using server version 4.8.11.0. When I manually enable scanning files for a single column, the system does not respond or responds after a long time. Please help me solve the problem.

Nothing happened after selecting it. Now the only way to update the media files is to enable scanning of all media in the background.
