The Synology server version and clients for various platforms have not been updated for a long time. Has Emby stopped updating and maintenance?

The server version currently used is still 4.8.11.0, and the Android TV version is still 2.12.6

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

Is there a new version of the Android client? It is recommended that the version information be marked on the page content when a new version is released in the future, so that we can easily identify the released version number

ATV has been in maintenance only mode for a while now.  They are slowly moving to the new standard Android app which you can either be downloaded from GitHub or from the Android store by searching "Emby".  The version should be listed there.

ATV and the new Android app can be run side-by-side if you wish.

As far as server, you can join the 4.9x beta.  I'm running it on my NAS with no issues.  I haven't seen anything posted yet when that will go stable though.

I tried to install an Android APP on my TV before, but it only supports touch operation, not remote control operation.

I'm using it on my Shield with a remote.  It should work on TVs also with remote when in "TV Mode", but my TV is Tizen so can't say for sure.

I guess it depends if you are waiting for a fix or new specific feature.

My experience of the Synology server has been stable for months. 

I'm sure the team are working on things behind the scenes and they do respond to reported issues. But if nothing is reported, there's not a lot of calls for an update.

Guess I'm a happy Emby user

Had no idea I could run the native Android app on my TV. So thanks for the info. Much more configurable in settings which is great.
