automatic identification is not working well - that is new Movies and easy one-part-movie, but still failed (this screen is from the Movie library!)

but I'm talking about this right now. The point of this thread is USSR Movies and any clear and  identification process.

Need server log for specific example to include structure and naming scheme.

But if content does not exist on metadata provider sites then you have to add or manually added all info to Emby.

Haunted Trophies (2024) does not exist on either site. (You should get results on OMDB for Haunted Trophies.)

While Scorched Earth: Sun Glitch is on TMDB with really no info or images.

I don't want to come here with the every Movie in my library and spend your time to help me, but I'm looking for a well-understood and universal option for all such films. if it is necessary to use a scheme with the name of IMDB in the folder name - I will do so. it is necessary to write some NFO files - I will do them. but I need a single and universal way, because there are many fetchers here, and they do not work as I expect and Emby's internal logic is very unclear for me.

The logic is simple - look up in first fetcher and add info from others.  If IMDB id is provided, that's another thing for the chosen supplier to look up - that's all.

But really, there's no universal magic solution.  What you need to do is (1) find the movie/show manually in TMDB or TVDB (2) name and organise the files to match how the chosen supplier sees it (3) identify the movie/show in Emby with the relevant provider in first place (4) lock the metadata if you are having to keep changing the supplier for different media.

you are not quite right

but let's put aside this common question about autoidentification and its problems and focus on the issue of this topic.

many fetchers to fetch is great, but there is still no affordable result either.

you are reading my mind literally. this is huge monkeyjob and will take a while. I see the next steps and restrictions from my POW at this moment:

1. there is no difference for the structures or organization - anyway it will be manual identification for almost every Movie.

2. there will be movies that can't be identified even with fetcher's direct ID (check up this thread earlier, unfortunately I couldn't find messageID or something like that) so I will have to fill up all information by myself.

3. moving providers (fetchers) up and down does nothing with already identified items, so this step has no reason, but potentially can lead to some additional issues in the future.

4. Lock the metadata is mandatory option for this library is case of step 3.

did I missed something else?

hmmm, I don't think so. What about a query with iteration over each fetcher and for each of them iteration by content type? The query's result will have all possible results and all of them can be offered to the user sorted by fetchers or content types. By the way, this is a fairly simple modification of the search query.

in addition I see some confusion between the IMBD or OMDB fetchers. it seems that some part of the queries and logic works with one, some part with the other and these things are not very connected.
