Black border and subtitle issues on Android TV videos

Android TVs are usually installed on the TV end, and in most cases, the TV display ratio is 16:9, but most movies have aspect ratios of 1920 * 800, 3840 * 1600, and so on. The Exoplayer player is used on the Android side, with subtitles embedded within the player. If you play non 16:9 displays such as 1920 * 800 and 3840 * 1600 on the TV, the black border below will display subtitles very well. However, subtitles are forced inside the video, leaving black borders that exceed the height of the video blank.
Can you optimize the container ratio of the Exoplayer player on Android TV so that subtitles can appear in the black border below the video. To enhance the viewing experience!

That is a matter of preference, personally would never want them to be displayed outside video frame.

This is not just a preference setting, more precisely, it should be to enhance the viewing experience!
Additionally, I have seen other posts mentioning that they will be updated in the future. Hope to speed up the update!!! Many people expect it.
