Hide library names on home screen?

Hi, I had my graphic design buddy make me some simple library icons, which i really like, however, it's redundant to have the library names again smaller underneath them; is there any way to hide the library name and just use the library icon graphic for that?

Hi, there is currently no way to do this, although in the web app section some might know a trick with custom css.

The admin sets order of rows for users.  But, the users can change this order.  I would guess few will do so.  This custom code only picks which of the seven possible rows will not have titles.  If everyone keeps the menu row at the top, then it will work.

section0 = first row area (usually library menus)

section1 = second row area

etc. to section6 = 7th row area

Also notice that the Latest rows are all considered one section, but they also can be called a different way.  So, if you add custom code for a section to not have titles and also put underneath that, the alternate class names for the latest row title area which should turn the titles back on, then latest rows will always have titles, no matter where the user puts them on the home page.  CSS styles that happen further down the custom style sheet will override styles above.

No titles for the top row section:  (notice section0 in the code)
Do this for any row by changing section0 to section1, section2... section6 (7th row area)

You can either add to this style by listing multiple rows (the entire class names changing only section0 to section1...) separated by a comma, or make a duplicate with a different section number, as needed.  For example, if you have My Media on the first and I also use a duplicate My media at the bottom 6th row of a home page setup, then you can put them together separated by a comma or a complete separate class style.  1st row needs section0 and 6th row needs section5.  It starts counting at 0.  It's a programmer's thing.  This counting from 0 happens everywhere in code.  Ha!

Again, all bets are off if a user decides to reorder their own home page order.  This also fails, if the user decides to show My Media (small) which only shows titles.  In that case, such a user would no longer have any way to choose a library in the home page My media area.  There would just be icons with no titles.  These problems make this solution more a hack and not advisable.  Perhaps requesting this as a feature, in the other forum section, would be appropriate.  If only one person out of 500 wants something like this, it may not really be worth development time.  Also consider that if it were available as an on / off button and someone were to accidentally change it to no titles and not know how to get the titles back, they could easily get frustrated with the entire experience, leave and never return.  Anyway, that's my two cents.

.verticalSection.verticalSection-cards.section0.emby-scrollbuttons-scroller > div.padded-top-focusscale.padded-bottom-focusscale.padded-left.padded-left-page.padded-right.emby-scroller.scrollX.hiddenScrollX.scrollFrameX.flex-direction-row > div > div > div > div.cardText.cardText-first.cardText-first-padded {
	display:none;
}

Add this below all the above row styles.  This targets only the latest row area which is multiple rows, one for each library.  This style will override any style above in the Css custom file and make sure that the latest rows have correct titles.

.emby-scrollbuttons-scroller > div.padded-top-focusscale.padded-bottom-focusscale.padded-left.padded-left-page.padded-right.emby-scroller.scrollX.hiddenScrollX.scrollFrameX.flex-direction-row > div > div > div > div.cardText.cardText-first.cardText-first-padded {
	display:block;
}
