Hello!

I'm newby here and got some unclear issues with a Movie library.

During creation Movie library I selected Russian language for the preferred metadata and image downloads, but after Library was scanned I got almost all Movies has Russian poster but English name and metadata like these

image.png.0a96f2789f7f02084ec6bfbcb4e68fa0.png

some other movies are all-english, like these

image.png.5d932d61fa60c07200eda61b04754639.png

and there are no any Movie that has Russian name and Metadata.

I digged to "3:10 to Yma" and changed "preferred metadata download language" to Russian

image.png.fd0bef9267a2b3710cd21d9bc2f6463e.png

and resfreshed metadata with replace but nothing was changed.

I double checked Library settings - they are correct

image.png.0abc10d03f891f8c2f328450961e8c83.png

I made another library for the TV Series with the same settings and almost all Series got Russian posters, names, and metadata.

what is wrong with the Movie Library and how to fix it?

addition question: how to find Unmatched Movies and Series?

Hi, do you have nfo files next to your movie files?

no. those libraries were made for Plex and now I'm trying to move away from it.

In your library view, you can select a Filter to show Missing Metadata:

Does Emby's network stack read and use WPAD option? or it's rely on the OS's proxy server configuration?

Logs attached.

anyway I solved my issue by proxifing traffic to themoviedb.org and tmdb.org via my external proxy in the EU country.

OK, and did you check what Tvdb has for this series?

Posted

OK I would try refreshing the metadata on the series in Emby and see if that helps.

At the same time per your images you are not using TVDB as primary provider.

But will run into the same issue as other topic as your trying to make media into something it is not per provider sites it Movie vs Mini-Series and provider does not list them as Mini-Series so API calls will not get correct corresponding metadata making this a long manual process for you to apply manually.

Per the log it searched a MOVIE not TV

Have not tested this at all but per the query should it have a gotten Russian overview?

per the request above

But I guess technically this should be a TV Series query not a Movie query per the naming scheme in image.

@WingDogplease restart the server. Then after the server has started up, please supply the emby server log from that. Thanks.

I suspect that we have two related topics.
