Fweep 11 Posted June 17, 2025 Posted June 17, 2025 I have some TV show folders with no complete episodes, only excerpts or trailers: E:\video\shorts\Norm Macdonald Live (2013) [tvdbid=268159]\extras\Norm Macdonald Live - S01E05 clip about 420 & Hitler.mp4 E:\video\TV\misc\Wonderworks [tvdbid=261177]\trailers\Jacob Have I Loved (1989)-trailer.VOB Emby treats the Norm Macdonald Live clip as if it were the full episode, or if I rename it to e.g. delete the S01E05, it is no longer recognized as Norm Macdonald Live at all. One solution is to use a special season-0 episode number, like Norm Macdonald Live - S00E105 S01E05 clip about 420 & Hitler.mp4 ... then it gets put into "Specials" on the Emby interface. Is this the ideal way to handle episode clips like this? What about the Wonderworks trailers? What's the ideal way to handle those?
Luke 42078 Posted June 17, 2025 Posted June 17, 2025 Hi, if you delete the episode but keep the trailer or extra behind, then yes this can happen. I would make sure both get deleted.
Fweep 11 Posted June 17, 2025 Author Posted June 17, 2025 That's the thing... I never had any episodes of these shows. Just the clips! I have lots of ephemera like this, some of which I think ought to be categorized as extras or whatever, but I don't have the "main" content that Emby seems to require.
Luke 42078 Posted June 17, 2025 Posted June 17, 2025 OK I think what you will have to do for now until you have that episode is to just move it into a specials folder, which you can make under the season folder.
