Android App On TV stuck on video

If i leave the app on and just off the TV and turn the TV back on it get suck in this lope in the video and it wont let me go home or anything. 

i'm using Emby for android not Emby for Android TV

I have seen this behavior before and similar type behaviors in that the whole app becomes unresponsive. Usually, if I simply reboot my Shield or Fire device it clears up but one time, maybe twice, I had to go into app settings and clear all Emby data before I could actually use my client again.

I have not reported this, yet, as the failure seems very random and I cannot make it happen. 
I think it is more of Android problem than Emby's but i cannot "prove" that. 
I have seen similar issues with other apps but I use Emby the most, by far, so that is where I see it the most.

I have noticed that non-normal exits from apps are where the problem is most likely to appear as I have seen it when I inadvertently pressed "home" during playback or even switched away from Emby when a video was playing. BUT no action I have tried is able to reproduce the problem.

The problem seems to happen most often, for me, when I make quick switches out of the app and start another app quickly. I have zero ideas of any exact action that will cause this to happen. I have seen it both on the regular Emby app and the Emby for TV app.

If any tests are needed i will try but I have little hope of being able to reproduce the issue reliably. 

I am running both Version 2.1.26g and Version 3.4.74. With server  Version 4.9.1.1 beta and I see the problem on both.
