js28194 36 Posted January 21 Posted January 21 (edited) I am not sure which ones govern what anymore, but I do think @quickmicwould know. To me it's a super minor annoyance that the brain has gotten used to because I do want to enjoy the notification of new content but don't want this annoyance. I get it. Also, it's not just new content scanning, it's if you use any of the arrrrrr stuff, well, that is a thing too. Edit: Looking at your screenshot again.. maybe it's "Playback" and "Refresh in progress" as these options all fall under the master "Pause Sync" header. Though I dunno. You gotta test it. Your log shows it's downloading your Emby "Tag" Images and you have, for some reasons, a lot of them. How long did you wait? Edited January 22 by quickmic

Well, actually Kodi suppress progress bars while playback and it must be a progress bar. A notification is visible even while playback. However, I can suppress them from plugin side too but usually I wanna know why it's not working on your setup (as it does for me). Did you enable something like delete after playback or something else "unusual"? Edited January 22 by quickmic

geowill76 8 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Hi Quickmic Thanks for the reply. I am running plugin version 12.4.5 and just run it with the default settings. I haven't modified anything within the plugin. As a test, I was watching a video and then went to my Emby server and ran the scheduled task scan media library. When I ran that task I could see the black flicker at top of video that you can see in the video clip I sent through. The only setting within Pause Sync that stops this from happening is if I grey out the option Scan media library. The weird thing is that during video playback it only shows a black flicker with no progression information. If I stop the video playback while the scan media library task is running on my Emby server i can see the progression information, ie the red circle going round with the percentage information On side note I am using the Bingie skin for Kodi, I haven't tested using default Estuary skin. 1

TheFreeMan 30 Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I'm very excited to say that with 12.4.5 my "Next Up" is working again!! I don't know what changes may have been made around that, but it's been broken for months now, and all of a sudden it works and I couldn't be more thrilled! 2

I was able to immediately hit stop on something I was watching and this is the message in the background that causes this "Emby Server busy: Sync in progress" I don't want to turn off syncing in the background while still playing. 1

Port 8096 works fine without any issues, but using reverse proxy ports such as 8095 may cause occasional freezes, and quite a few users have reported this problem.
curiouscur 4 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 (edited) hi, i've got issues with ce-no (latest nightly) and any newer emby addon newer than the current beta (12.3.8). i'm using the ugoos sk1. installation and sync is no problem, but when i try to reboot/shutdown, the system freezes. this behavious does not happen with the beta addon version. and another thing - the first init-sync takes much longer with the 12.x addon generation compared to the 11.x generation. i'm always using the latest emby beta server (runs as docker in unraid). i can provide logs, if you tell me what you exactly need. thank you for your work, best regards! ptvir 3 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Hi and thank you @quickmicfor this excellent work. I installed 12.3.8 last evening and everything went easy. I was wondering how can I access my Emby playlists from CoreELEC / Emby for Kodi? Additionally, am I somehow able to utilize CoreELEC/Kodi profiles so that I could link them to Emby users? That is, when I watch a movie in CoreELEC, the watched status of the movie would be updated to my Emby user. Or does that kind of information even get updated to an Emby server by Emby for Kodi?

Yes the sync might take longer, as it syncs trailers an themes as well in 12.3.8. I assume that's what you observe. However, it should not take that much longer, as the sync performance for the regular content was quite a bit improved. Yes, I need logs. Probably the one after the hanging shutdown? send me regular logs (no debug logs) -> kodi.log and kodi.old.log for review.

This is one of the main functions of the plugin. 1

I have my library sorted by date added and it uses the date added from emby. So they both match. However after upgrading to the latest versions I noticed in Kodi all the videos are sorted differently. Like the date added being used is when the scan added it to kodi and not emby. I see there are a few date fixes but not sure if any of those are the reason. Let me know if you need some logs and I can grab some.

The plugin uses the date info from server and has actually nothing to do with sort settings on your emby server unless the server changes the metadata (which I hope is not the case).

quickmic 1703 Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 btw, freezes/stalls are barely plugin issue, they would trigger different issues.
