I wrote up a quick Mark Down File. I'm assuming you have already flashed CorElEC on your Ugoos amb6+. This will get you started its alot but i have given you good links to get started.Emby-Kodi-Installation-Guide.md

Yup, just flashed the coreelec and got my remote working and that's it.

Thanks for the guide. I'll give it a try.  I feel like I'm at the age where doing this stuff is not as easy as it used to be lol

In looking at your instructions, do I need to copy the zip file to the device itself...I'm referring to this part.

5. Navigate to **Add-ons > Install from zip file**.
6. Select the Emby source you added.
7. Install the repository zip file (e.g., `repository.emby.kodi-1.0.8.zip` for stable or beta versions).

ok , so far so good but at this part I selected my libraries and it prompted me for my server which I selected. It disappeared and now nothing is happening. Should I be seeing something or just it just sit there for awhile with nothing populating?

. Choose playback mode:
   - **Add-on mode** (recommended for best performance).
   - **Native mode** (if Kodi needs direct file access).
5. Select Emby libraries to sync to Kodi's database.
6. Complete initial sync (may take time for large libraries).

ok I figured it out. When you have to select all, you have to actually click on All, the ok. I thought All was already defaulted. So moving on to next steps.

I did step 4 advanced setup. All went well but after it installed and rebooted I am getting an error "Kodi companion addon not installed on Emby server! Please install".

Not sure how to install this or if I should as it's not in the instructions

Also, not the part about installing skins was a bit different but I managed to install Embuary as it's exactly how I want my movies to look to mimic Emby but in your guide you indicated to install skins compatible with dolby vision. Not sure if embuary is and if that means I can't play dolby vision files?

No, it doesn’t have anything to do a Dolby  Vision  but there’s certain skins for the Ugoos that you can unlock Dolby Vision features but if it’s something you don’t really care about you can just keep your your normal skin

You need to add the Kodi companion It’s on your Emby server go to plug-ins and you’ll see in the plug-ins. There’s a plug-in called Kodi companion.

It looks like it's all working. Three questions,

1. In order to now play Dolby Vision files, will it automatically play the FEL layer or is there anything I need to do?  When I go to Corelec settings, I don't see an option for enabling FEL.

2. On my Emby Server I have two separate libraries, one called TV Shows and the other TV Series.  For any of the skins I try, they just put both into one library. Is there a way to separate it them Emby does on the Nvidia Shield does?

3. I have the Ugoos BT Remote Control UR02.  It's not really working. I have to press a button like 10 times to get a single press.  Is did copy remote_ur-02.conf to root of the coreelac folder. Is there something else I need to do. It doesn't seem to pair. I would love to be able to use my nvidia shield remote but not sure how to do that or if its' possible

You don’t need to do anything for Fel

you can separate your libraries through widgets so you can have one widget of points to each of the TV series and they’ll show up is two different widgets on your home screen

First of all, thank you for your valuable help!

What kind of Dolby Vision features those skins add?

Right now I've been playing around trying to get the remote to connect via bluetooth but it won't   Anything about Ugoos BT Remote Control UR02 or even getting the nvidia shield remote to work?

Edit: figured it out. Had to go to expert mode to see passthru.

finally connected to my audio receiver and tv but I'm not getting any passthru audio, it's sending as two channel. How do I do passthru? I went through all the options and don't see anything for passthru

Ok, this is crazy but I can't figure out how to get to a playing now screen.  I'm testing everything and so far so good except for one dumb thing. I started a movie and hit the back button on my remote and it went to the info screen but I can hear the movie still playing in the background and at the top right corner there's a little arrow with the name of the show I'm watching but I can't figure out how to get back to the episode. There's no Now Playing screen and I simply can't get the movie to show...what the hell lol

Ditch the remote kodi is best used with a keyboard.

I'm 8ft away from my audio/video system where all this resides so that's not possible. Anyhow, I don't think this has anything to do with the remote. When I was actually testing it I was hooked up to my computer monitor and using the keyboard. THe issue is I can't find a now playing screen....even though I have it enabled in the settings.

What an odd statement- it works absolutely great with a remote, I've been using one with it for over a decade. I

I'm runing into some trouble and have 2 questions. I'v reinstalled my ugoos device with coreelec and and now running into a problem reinstalling emby. Using the guide attached from above from Kyrunner, , when I get to this part I get an error about script.module.dateutil not available and it won't install. Which is odd as I didn't get that error the first time.

Not sure what to do now...

## Step 2: Install Emby for Kodi Add-on
1. Go to **Add-ons > Install from repository**.
2. Select **Kodi Emby Add-ons**.
3. Choose **Video Add-ons**.
4. Select **Emby** and click **Install**.

The other issue I see is when clicking install it shows the following additional add-ons will be installed

script.module.dateutil - not available

Emby for Kodi Next Gen - Minimum 10.0.25 => Install 12.3.8

I'm not sure if it's telling me I have the wrong version?  Do I need to install Next Gen 12.4 separately and if so how?

Man, I'm dying here. I just can't seem to get anything installed properly.  I managed to get something done and I'm now trying to install some skins but they are all coming back with all these dependencies that are not available

For example I'm trying to install Embuary and getting

Plugin.program.autocompletion - not available

script.embuary.helper - not available

screip.embuary.info - not available

etc etc

For the life of me I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Sorry for all these posts but it's driving me nuts that I can't get this installed when I did just a few days ago.

So now I have reflashed by drive and used CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-21.3-Omega-Generic.img.gz.

My Ugoos has now booted up.  At this point all I should have to do is the following steps below. Is that correct? ..OR do I just copy the plugin.service.emby-next-gen-12.4.0.zip to the device and install from zip file and that's it and I don't have to do any of the below except to install a skin?

For Dolby Vision: Ugoos AM6+ (or AM6b+) running CoreELEC (recommended over vanilla for enhanced features). Nothing else needs to be installed before doing the below steps?

## Step 1: Install Emby Repository
1. Open Kodi and navigate to **File Manager**.
2. Select **Add source**.
3. Enter `http://kodi.emby.media` as the source URL and name it "Emby".
4. Go back to Kodi home screen.
5. Navigate to **Add-ons > Install from zip file**.
6. Select the Emby source you added.
7. Install the repository zip file (e.g., `repository.emby.kodi-1.0.8.zip` for stable or beta versions).

## Step 2: Install Emby for Kodi Add-on
1. Go to **Add-ons > Install from repository**.
2. Select **Kodi Emby Add-ons**.
3. Choose **Video Add-ons**.
4. Select **Emby** and click **Install**. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------this part fails due to dependencies
5. If dependencies fail, download them from `http://kodi.emby.media/Public testing/Dependencies/`.  ------------------------ > this url doesn't exist

## Step 3: Configure Emby for Kodi
1. Launch the Emby add-on (or restart Kodi).
2. Select server discovery or manually enter your Emby server URL (e.g., `http://your-emby-server-ip:8096`).
3. Log in with your Emby credentials or use Emby Connect.
4. Choose playback mode:
   - **Add-on mode** (recommended for best performance).
   - **Native mode** (if Kodi needs direct file access).
5. Select Emby libraries to sync to Kodi's database.
6. Complete initial sync (may take time for large libraries).

Ok so figured out what I was mostly doing wrong. I had to install the 12x and then the additional 3 files listed on the 1st page. It all installed fine and I upgraded to  avplus r5.

Last problem is I cannot install any skins for the Jamal repository. I get the following type errors.
