You cannot turn this off, unless you turn off the complete start sync which is not recommended. Frankly, I think something has changed in your boxsets or movies (assigned to a boxset). It's not assignment only.

Emby server reports something has changed (could be artwork, could be metadata, anything). Also when a movie has changed and it's assigned to a boxset, this could trigger boxset and movie update. I think something of your Emby server tasks changes metadata.

You can test that by starting Kodi, wait for sync complete, turn off and on Kodi and the sync should not appear the second time.

Let me know, how the test goes.

btw, your youtube plugin is broken.

Please send me a debug log via PM. Also check you Kodi caching/buffer setting. I think they have changed in Kodi 22, no longer located in the advancedsettings.xml.

I'm pretty sure this falls into E4K territory to ask...

I've just created a new Library in my Emby server called Sports of type "TV Shows". I went into the E4K settings and added Sports as a new library to manage.

I do not see shows from this library showing up in my TV listing. Should I expect them to be there since both libraries are "TV Shows"? 

 

Oh yeah. Still on 12.4.5 for now, but will likely update to 12.4.11 soon, if that matters.

Hi guys

First: english is not my mother language, so sorry for errors

I have a Problem with sync my Emby with Kodi on a Libreelec on Raspi4. It stops syncing on series.  I manage to reproduce the error with an other installation on a windows PC.

 I will attach the log. But i think the line

Sorry, that wasn't clear. Yes, I added it to the list of managed libraries in the E4K settings.

So you did the sync? And what is the actual issue. Do you think there will be a new TVSHow section in the main menu? At least I got this impression and that's not how it works. You need do customize the skin, otherwise it's mixed in the the existing/default TVShow node. Or are you sying, it's not synced at all? If so, I need a kodi.log for review.

I can see the issue but now idea what you are syncing. That kind of playlists are you syncing? This is actually the first issue.

This %RootFolderPath% seems totally wrong and is independent from the playlist issue. This is a TVShow series issue.

Sure I can easily fix it, but I would be prefer to know the reason for this problem.

Sorry, quickmic, having difficulties communicating well...

First I added a new Library in Emby, called "Sports" of type "TV Shows"

Then, I added that library to be monitored in E4K on my LibreElec instance.

Then, I hoped to be able to see anything added to the Sports library mixed in with all my other TV Shows under the same TV Show main menu node that I've already got. 
I just forced an update, then scanned through my TV shows and do not see either "Formula 1" or "V8 Supercars" as are shown in Emby:

My first guess is, you (the Emby user in the plugin) might not have permissions for the library. There are no other errors in the log, so basically seems to be fine.

If the permissions are ok, I need your Kodi databases for review.

I need: 

emby_XXX.db

and

MyVideosXXX.db

Also please enable debug log (in the plugin settings), trigger a repair-sync and send me that log too (via PM).

 

btw, you can also try to use dynamic nodes (as a test). Are the Sports Shows listed there?

I checked again your log, seems to be more clear now. It's not related to playlists at all. The series was not synced, and there the season updated crashed. I'll fix the issue, but not sure If I make it properly, as I have no test case for that. I try to simulate your setup, however. Can you give me extra info what the Series location actually is. Also debug log might help, you can enable it in the plugin settings and send it to me via PM, thanks.

I made some tests by myself and added some logs to ***\Kodi\addons\plugin.service.emby-next-gen\core\common.py (ok, chatgpt helped  )

After that i was able to identify the series wich was causing the problem. 

After removing it from the series folder, new emby scan, and then adding it the series was not found in the emby server. 

For me it looks like it was an problem with emby. So i will make some tests more and report it here

Anyway: I will send you the changed code and the resulting logs. Maybee you will find something to make it more stable.

Thanks, I add some fixes to intercept this issue, but actually this should never happen in the first place.

What happened, the season metadata included a SeriesId and the plugin tried to sync the series. For some reason, your server did not return valid data (actually no data at all) for the series.
