can i set emby to ignore the poster that’s embedded in video

How can we set it to display the episode’s metadata image instead of the poster that’s embedded within the video?

As I understand, “image capture” captures a frame from that file to generate a cover, right? However, some videos have an attached cover picture, so the emby keeps using those over other priorities.

In that case it shouldn't be happening. Could you reproduce the issue and post server log for the timeframe where embedded artwork was used instead?

Oh, I just realized that there’s no image data from higher priority available. So, the priority should be fine, but I’d like it to generate a cover instead of allowing them to choose their own cover from the video file. Is there a way to do this?

Not that I know of, unless embedded image removed externally.
