Sync between AppleTVOS, iOS and web - not working

If I start a movie/series on lets say on AppleTV, stop it and watch on my phone try to continue, the move/series starts from the beginning.

I have tried to start from the web to phone, phone to web, phone to appletv and all other combinations. Never is the process saved.

Even worse, it saves the "new" position that is start from the beginning.

Have I done something wron here? Or what can I do to fix it?
