Subtitle priority

I don't know if this is a bug or not, so I will post it as a feature request.

In the Emby Server, I have my subtitle settings as shown in the picture:

Preferred subtitle language: English

Subtitle Mode: Hearing Impaired

My video is MKV with embedded subtitles of various languages and some doesn't have SDH. I'm viewing it on a LG CX OLED TV.

Expected behavior: English SDH > English (non-SDH) > other languages, regardless if they have SDH or not

What Emby automatically chooses: Korean SDH > English (non-SDH) (see picture)

 

I don't understand Korean. There is English (non-SDH) available. I also have preferred language set as English. The correct and preferred sub should have been English. However, Emby chooses Korean SDH over English (non-SDH). What I'm trying to say is prefered subtitle language should have a higher priority over subtitle mode. Is there anyway to fix this in a future update or implement it if it's not a bug?

I'd call this a bug as it appears to be prioritizing the SDH above the language when it really should only be prioritized within your chosen language.

I can attach logs but it contains some sensitive info. Are only Emby admins can view them?

Not sure I can easily test that as I don't keep any non-English subtitles.  I'll have to re-rip something and get back.
