Cluttered 15 Posted June 6, 2025 Posted June 6, 2025 Create a user and restrict them from seeing a tag for example 'ABC'. Let's now assume you have a collection, ABC, a playlist ABC and a number of items tagged ABC. You add the tag to all of them. So the restricted user can't see anything right? Wrong. Firstly it doesn't seem possible to omit playlists and collections, they show up no matter what. The tagged content shouldn't. But the covers will have a number of images on them which may well include tagged content. Now, if you search for ABC, nothing should appear as it's all tagged right? Wrong. 'Top Results' will list the tag itself and any collections that contain the name so ABC in my example. And again images from all the items on the overview. Playlists seem to be okay but collections and tags are not.
Luke 42078 Posted June 9, 2025 Posted June 9, 2025 Hi, a playlist created by a user can't be hidden from them using tags. In other words, you can't use parental control tagging to hide their own personal playlists from them. Does that answer your question about playlists?
Cluttered 15 Posted June 9, 2025 Author Posted June 9, 2025 (edited) I created the playlists in my account, the other user is new and created nothing. The problem though is with collections and tags, playlists seem okay. Edited June 9, 2025 by Cluttered
Luke 42078 Posted June 17, 2025 Posted June 17, 2025 Quote But the covers will have a number of images on them which may well include tagged content. OK I think you mean the auto-generated covers? These are not user specific and are instead one image that all users will see. If this is a problem then I would simply set your own image for the collection or tag. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
