Apple TV: Shuffle feature only selects 25 photos when active

Issue: Shuffle only selects 25 photos items when the feature is active. Once 25 items have been displayed, the slideshow restarts again, presenting the same photos in the same order.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Emby for Apple TV app

2. Select a photos-only library

3. Select “Shuffle” from the navigation bar on the upper-right.

4. A random selection of 25 photo items are presented in a slideshow. Once 25 items are displayed, the slideshow restarts.

Troubleshooting:

Confirmed Emby server and client are up to date. Client version Apple TV 1.9.9 (6), iOS 2.2.39, Server version 4.9.0.70

Confirmed changing the slideshow theme/style selection does not change the behavior

Confirmed the behavior will occur in any folder, regardless of the number of items within the folder. If the number of items exceeds 25, only 25 items will play.

Confirmed if “Play All” is selected, a folder will play the slideshow, in the sorted order, until the end, with no unexpected looping. Manually advancing the photos also functions as designed.

Deleted app, downloaded again, logged in. Behavior persists as described.

iOS client app does not demonstrate the same behavior. Shuffle works as designed for greater than 25 items.
