Change Default Sort Order for Audiobooks

Good Day!  After scouring the forum, I was unable to find the most optimal way to effectively manage/play podcasts that are saved on the machine.  I found that the audiobook content type works best, but the only issue is the default sorting for it is based off of the file name.  Would it be possible to have change the default sort to be release date(ascending or descending) for the content type as we are adding a podcast library in the emby server settings?

Also, would like to inquire if there is any updated plans to have a separate podcast category where we can manage podcast a local library.  Thanks in advance.

So by default when you click on an audio book with multiple chapters, it will sort them in chronological order/ alphabetical order.  Setting up podcasts under audio books category causes the podcasts to be listed in alphabetical order.  This does not apply as podcasts are sorted by release date.

Are your audio files tagged with track numbers?

I have audoiobookshelf downloading the podcasts automatically, and it does not have the ability to do that.  It does however tag the files with the release dates.

@Abul3eesif you use the metadata editor on one of the audio book files, does Emby show the release date for it? I'd like to know if that got imported. Thanks.
