I have collections that I have created that are getting a default image applied that looks like the attached.  I understand the boxset frame is coming from CoverArt, but does anyone know where the tiled image is coming from?  For the life of me i can figure out where it comes from.  When i set a manual image it eventually gets overwritten by this tiled image.

It comes from the content you have in your collection. By default if the collection is not named in a way that it can be found in your providers Emby generates a poster mosaic of the content.
I usually give collections that are not readily identified a custom poster.

I also find that if i let them alone Emby often finds a good poster as much as a week or so after I created the collection. I do not know the details of how Emby finds posters and descriptions for collections but, it seems, to be a very very background task.

It "could" be as i use very few plugins and none have to do with collections. For me many plugins have many too many unwanted side effects. I just use those that I have to and I remove most of the "default" plugins.
