chrisrobbins1970 82 Posted May 30, 2025 Posted May 30, 2025 I am testing the ONN 4K Plus Google TV OS...so far...impressed.. Using the Emby for Android...there is also Emby for Android TV, not sure which one to use... Main question is... Unlike the ROKU, if you pause a movie/TV on the remote and press the HOME button on the remote.. When you go back into Emby is goes to the HOME SCREEN, but on the ONN $k streaming, it starts off at the last place you were at...pause TV/movie and does NOT got to the Emby home screen.. is this a bug ont he APP or the Device??

chrisrobbins1970 82 Posted May 30, 2025 Author Posted May 30, 2025 (edited) ok.. anyway to not have it do that?? I have a Samsung galaxy and I guess I CLOSE the app, so when I re-open the emby on my phone it goes to the emby home screen... Edited May 30, 2025 by chrisrobbins1970
GrimReaper 4739 Posted May 30, 2025 Posted May 30, 2025 (edited) 13 minutes ago, chrisrobbins1970 said: anyway to not have it do that?? Either exit the app or go back to Emby's Home Screen (long-press Back button from wherever you currently are) and then press Home button on the remote. Or do nothing and just long-press Back once you're back in the app. Edited May 30, 2025 by GrimReaper
chrisrobbins1970 82 Posted May 30, 2025 Author Posted May 30, 2025 does it matter which version of the EMBY app to use...Emby for TV or Emby for Android??
GrimReaper 4739 Posted May 30, 2025 Posted May 30, 2025 (edited) Doesn't matter, though AndroidTV app has Logoff time setting, so you can set it to lowest value and it'd automatically log you off after short period of time, as if you exited the app, and subsequent login will put you on Emby's Home Screen. tollgate 8 Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 I've tried both the Emby for TV and Emby for Android and find the TV app superior.
