I tested emby for 1 month premier and my thoughts and issues.

Hello i bought 1 month of premier to test it, This is my overall issues with it for me personally but still overall think it is a fantastic app, Will most likely buy lifetime when i can.
Some of these issues the developers may be working on fixing


On the app on windows it seems to not save the volume between closing and opening it.

On some phones like pixel 6A the video is not center and seems to not play in the camera notch this does not seem to be an issue with all phones. Would be nice to have it play using the full phone including the camera notch since this is how most things do it. This makes it so it does not fill out the phone correctly for wide screen content. 


Downloading stuff is amazing but does not seem to always work. Download can get stuck in transferring, Downloading audiobooks categorized as songs and not audiobooks in the downloads.

When playing offline media it would be nice if you could also have skip intro when no internet. 

Would be nice if while it was trying to connect to a server downloads would be instantly available, If you have no wifi or data then it will go into offline mode instantly, but if you have data or wifi and your server is not able to be connected to remotely then it will spend awhile trying to connect, Would nice if while it was trying to find servers it showed a folder for your downloads instantly like how other streaming services do it.

Having auto detect credits and auto skip credits would be really nice feature to have. 

When clicking play next while watching tv shows it would be nice if there was an option you could turn on that would be like "When clicking play next also mark the current episode as played" I think this would be a very helpful option 


Having an option to only play videos on wifi, While there is quality changes for remote and download only on remote, would be nice if wifi only playing was a thing for people with low data plans but want remote connection if you go over to a friends house or something.


Overall i think emby is extremely good and could be the #1 go to media server with a few more additions and fixes, I look forward to getting lifetime and setting it up on my Homelab.

Yea the apple app has a swipe gesture to expand it, I think that's what we should also do.
