I have channels (51.x) in my channel mapping list that do not show in the channel list or that my HDHR lists.  How can this be?  How can I remove them or get them?

Hi, what do you mean exactly? What do you think is a ghost?

Luke, you bewilder me again.  The channels are in the mapping list but nowhere else in the world.  Does that answer your question?

What channels?

The 51.x channels I mentioned in my post.  The denoted ones in the mapping list.

Can you please spell it out so that we don’t have to try and decipher the situation from screenshots? Thanks.

Sorry.  I thought I did spell it out.

See the channel list does not have 51.x channels.

Edit a channel > "Guide data channel" list does have 51.x channels.

Where does the list of mapping channels come from?  That might lead to the answer.

From the list of channels in the guide data.

Okay, so they are the same list, as one would expect, but I had to be sure.  So the mystery continues then.

I don’t think it’s a mystery. It’s normal that the channels in the guide data might not be an exact match for the channels on your tuner.

Then where do the channels come from in the channel list?  You just told me it was the same list, but they are not the same in the UI, as showed in the pics. 😕

As those are just little cutouts I don’t even what the second screenshot is from.

but to answer generally, when I say tuner channels I mean the list of channels reported by your tuner. Guide data channels are the list of channels in the guide data, presumably Emby guide data or xml.

Okay, well, where ever the list of channels from, they do not match between the available channels list (first pic) and the mapping list (second pic).

Hi.  I'll take a whack at explaining...

The first channel list you showed comes from your tuner.  So, these are the available channels that you can actually receive (assuming proper signal).

The second channel list you showed comes from the guide data - either the lineup you chose that is based on a region or an xml file you chose.  Those two things will probably never be exactly the same as one is a total pool of possible channels from one source and the other is an exact set of channels from a piece of hardware on your network.

Make sense now?
