Is that a beta version? I can't find that version in Play Store!

Yes it’s in the play store beta channel but is slowly rolling out to everyone.

Another trip away and issue still present:

The following file is downloaded via the Emby Universal App to my Chromebook (HP X2 11) and when I try to play it it plays way too fast just like my example videos earlier in this thread.

The file plays fine in VLC as per my previous reports.

Emby Universal Android app version: 3.5.34 (latest)

ChromeOS: Version 147.0.7727.147 (Official Build) (64-bit) (latest)

Emby Server: Version 4.10.0.11 beta

Looks to be AC3 related?

Any possible update to this?

@Luke: Can you please edit the name of this Thread to  "Video files play too fast on Android App on Chromebook"?. I believe I was mistakenly blaming x265/HEVC previously.

Thanks

@Luke

Any advice on this issue?

The only workaround I have found for this issue is to use the web app on Google Chrome or Firefox (this is on a Lenovo  Chromebook).  All video seems to play flawlessly if you use the web app and not the Android app.

The problem with this approach is the inability to transcode media to lower quality (for space saving) and download media for travel/flights.

It would be brilliant if the Android app would allow transcoding media to the correct formats for the Chromebook it is install on.
