It is stupid that no direct wireless connection is fast enough for highest quality media (not over internet)

As in not over internet like local network only. If that does not make sense will retype and reexplain.

The only sure way is to have it on the actual mobile device or separate device, with high quality media on, connected to the mobile device with a wire.

The only thing that seem to maybe work was the WD My Passport Wireless Pro Hard Drive but it was not built very well and reliable. It is not sold anymore either. Plus the SSD version was super expensive. Have not seen a product like it sense.

Nope, your post still doesn't make sense. If you do change it then also include what you mean by "highest quality media". Others might have a different definition.

80 GB to 90 GB movies of 2 to 3 hours.

So you're talking about media in the 60-100 mbps range for bitrate, which often peak higher during certain scenes. If you have that kind of bandwidth end-to-end it should work. This means both an AP/router with the capacity and coverage combined with clients that can use it. The router side is usually easy but you don't want your server on WiFi too, it adds unnecessary chatter and overhead. On the client side I think a minimum of AC 2x2 which is likely where many client devices fall short with their low specs.

Those bitrates of 60-100mbps are ~7-12 MB/s which is slow/low in general data terms.
